PHASE 3.... FOLLOWING THE LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX ..... REALLY SATISFYING!

I went to HEB today and stocked up on low-glycemic foods to start off Phase 3 of my HCG diet.  I am excited and motivated..... Here are some of the things I bought...

Healthiest foods....Low glycemic, farm-sourced foods that should be the staples in your recipes.
  • Steel-Cut Oatmeal
  • Vegetables like brussel sprouts / asparagus / broccoli / sweet potatoes as well as the following:
  • Shrimp
  • Salmon
  • Cheese  --  I use fat-free in my salad.... really good
  • Slivered almonds
  • Chopped walnuts
  • Basmati rice
  • Grapes
  • Apples  --  I will keep baking apples for a yummy dessert
For Sunday dinner, I have a special surprise!  Strawberry Shortcake!!!  I made a sugar-free / fat-free angel food cake; sweetened my strawberries with Splenda; and it will be topped with sugar-free Cool Whip.... 

So if you are still on your HCG protocol, keep it up!  I will be paving the way for your Maintenance Phase....
